Founder & Honorary President of the Scottish Leisure Network Group
Bobby currently works as a Development Officer for West Dunbartonshire Leisure and has held that position since the Trust was established in 2012. Prior to this, he was with the Leisure Services section of West Dunbartonshire Council as a Service Development Officer.
In late 2003, it became apparent to Bobby that there was little benchmarking taking place across Scotland with other leisure services, so Bobby called a few fellow Managers in other local authorities who unsurprisingly felt the same way. In October 2003 the first meeting of the S.L.N.G. took place in the Bell Centre in Perth. Bobby chaired the Group until 2011 and moved to the position of Secretary.
Bobby recently took a well-earned rest from formal office-bearing duties with the Group but still contributes as the Honorary President and member of the Executive Committee.
Bobby is a keen tennis player and is heavily involved in his local club in Helensburgh carrying out coaching and other club duties.
