Bobby Kerr

PRESIDENT

About Bobby

Bobby is the founder of the S.L.N.G. having found operational benchmarking with colleagues across Scotland almost non-existent in the early 2000’s. He contacted a few local authorities in late 2003 and following the initial meeting held in Perth in October 2003 the S.L.N.G. was born.

Bobby started with West Dunbartonshire Council in 1988 working with the management team based at the Meadow Leisure Centre.  The service became West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust in 2014 where Bobby worked as a Development Officer until his retirement in September 2024.

Bobby is a keen tennis and padel tennis player and is heavily involved in his local tennis club as well as Honorary President of the Scottish Leisure Network Group.
